Smokey-Joe

My Smokey was in a car accident before I had him we knew him before we kept him and it broke his paw which is why he cannot walk on it and the old owner didn't take him to the vets!! SO when I took him as he had a cut on his broken paw and was all infected and had been left like it for months so we taken him vets got hims sorted and decided to keep him as Tiger took quite a shine to him and his old owner clearly didn't care about him.

Grrrrrrrr why do people have pets if they arn't going to look after them?? It makes me so angry.
At least he's now in a loving home with someone who will take care of him. Poor old puss.

If we hadn't have taken him in I don't think he would be alive now. He has a heart murmur, asthma, FAD not to mention only 3 usable paws.

My 2 oldest cats, Sabbi and Gizmo, came to me through a friend when they were 6 weeks old, the rest of my furry family are Cat Protection cats with the exception on Bert and Ernie, they were a neighbours, from the age of 3 months she put them out overnight in the dead of winter, i used to feel sorry for them, but they were'nt mine. Anyway at 6 months old she got the boys neutered and the ginger cat Ernie had an internal bleed and had to have an operation to stop the bleeding, when she brought him home he had to be kept from rough handling and she has 2 kids so she asked me if i would take him for the 10 days till his stitches came out, of course i said yes, she took him to have his stitches removed then brought him home and fed him, then promptly put him outside as usual, he came straight to me and came inside greeted all the cats and went to his bed. His brother Bert came every day to my window to see Ernie, so i let him in and after greeting his brother, he also picked a bed and slept there all day. Anyhow eventually the neighbour asked me if i'd like to keep the boys because she knew they were spending more time with me than with her. Of couse i said yes because they are lovely guys, loving and gentle. My cats don't get out, they are house cats and are quite happy. At least i know where they are all the time, because in this day and age there is so much badness to animals around.

Mine are all house cats too, glad they are so I always know they are safe. Well sometimes I can't find the odd one and I still can't fathom how she hides herself so well when I check everywhere for her.
